Hi. I’m Liisa (lee-zah).

I’m a writer and paddler who loves historic buildings (especially firehouses and doors), old diaries and letters, seriously crusty bread, and the Oxford comma.

I have a day job as a copywriter for a fantastic, employee-owned, socially responsible B-Corp. But — I love staying busy outside of work, so I occupy myself by being a serial moonlighter, personal trainer, and coach.

I believe in making a positive impact—which means responsible environmental stewardship, empowering people to realize their full potential, lauding good work, and generally being a good, compassionate citizen.

In between projects I’m working on a memoir about friendship, told in the context of the mid-life journey of two living-room exercisers who defied expectations (including their own) to become world-champion dragon boaters. To stay sane and fit I keep moving as much as possible. Weather permitting, you’ll find me digging in the garden, walking around historic neighborhoods, or paddling out on Lake Champlain.

I look forward to working with you!
